1.   During Visit of President of France to India 14 pacts are signed.

            President of France

A.    To broaden the scope of their 20 year-old strategic partnership, India and France on Saturday outlined concrete steps.
B.    The 14 pacts are signed in areas ranging from defence, security, nuclear energy to the protection of classified information besides agreeing to hold biennial summits between top level leaders of the two countries and an annual bilateral defence dialogue.
C.   The two sides also resolved to deepen cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, signing a pact on the provision of reciprocal logistics support between their armed forces.
D.   A joint statement said, India and France were looking at holding an annual ministerial dialogue to deepen cooperation in the economic and financial sectors to boost economic ties.
E.   These followed talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in New Delhi on Saturday.
F.   Macron, who arrived in India late Friday, is on his first visit to Asia’s third largest economy since his election as president of France last year.

 

2.   Two-day National Legislators Conference inaugurated by PM.
A.    A two-day National Legislators Conference on ‘We For Development’at the Central Hall of Parliament House has inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
B.    To bring MPs and MLAs on a single platform where ideas and plans for development can be exchanged is the motive of the conference.
C.    The subjects on agenda for discussions will be the role of public representatives in development and optimum use of resources

 

3.   ‘WINGS INDIA 2018’ Event got underway in Hyderabad.

             WINGS INDIA 2018’

A.   Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airport Authority of India and FICCI jointly organized the four-day biennial event ‘WINGS INDIA 2018′, in Hyderabad.
B.   ‘India-Global Aviation Hub’ is the theme of the four-day biennial event.
C.    It is a platform for interactions, forging alliances, investments and air connectivity between the States and the global aviation players & stakeholders.

 

4.   In Telangana, start-up incubator for women ‘We-Hub’ launched.
A.    It is launched on the occasion of International Women’s Day to exclusively promote entrepreneurship among women.
B.    It is the country’s first state-led incubator exclusively for women entrepreneurs.
C.    For aspiring women from rural and urban backgrounds helping them achieve being independent and overcome the societal barriers, We-Hub is an entrepreneurial platform.

 

5.   Joint declarations of financial partnership by ISA-ADB, NDB, GCF, AfDB and AIIB.
A.    Joint financial partnership Declarations signed by the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the African Development Bank (AfDb), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the Green climate fund (GCF), and the New Development Bank (NDB).
B.    A Joint partnership Declaration with the ISA is also signed by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
C.   To deepen their cooperation in support of Renewable Energy is the objective of the agreements.

 

6.   Loan Agreement for Renewable Energy Financing in India signed by IREDA & EIB.

                 IREDA & EIB.

A.    This loan agreement is signed for a second line of credit (LoC) of Euro 150 million on non-sovereign basis.
B.    Including a grace period of 3 years, the line of credit is for tenure of 15 years.
C.    It will be used for financing Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency projects in India.
D.    From clean energy produced with these funds, more than 1.1 million households are expected to benefit.

 

7.   Additional charge of civil aviation ministry got Suresh Prabhu.
A.    A day after the resignation of TDP’s Ashok Gajapathi Raju, additional charge of the Civil Aviation Ministry was given to Commerce and Industries minister Suresh Prabhu.
B.    From the council of ministers, Raju and another Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Y S Chowdary had resigned.

 

8.   To lift 27th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Australia beat England 2-1, in Malaysia.
A.    The tournament was used as preparation for the Commonwealth Games by both sides.
B.    It takes place from 5-14 April on Australia’s Gold Coast.
