1.   Manik Sarkar steps down as Tripura CM after 25 years
A.    To Governor Tathagata Roy, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar tendered his resignation.
B.   Tathagata Roy asked him to continue in office till the next Chief Minister takes over.
C.    Winning 43 of the 59 seats for which elections were held, the BJP-IPFT coalition has swept the polls.
D.    sembly secured by BJP, while its ally IPFT, a tribal based party, has won eight seats.

 

2.   4 March – National Safety Day

National Safety

A.    From many issues such as Financial Loss, Health problems and also any types of problems in the life of the citizens this day is used.
B.    To become more secure from the activities which reflect and change the situation of the people in many ways, this day is used to celebrate.
C.    By the National Safety Council of India, on the 4th March every year it is celebrated in India.

  

3.   ‘Ama Gaon, Ama Vikas’ programme launched by Odisha govt.
A.    This programme has launched to reach out to the people in rural areas and involve themselves in the developmental activities.
B.   Mobile video vans for ‘Ama Gaon Ama Vikas’ programme flagged off by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
C.    This will move across the State to highlight various welfare schemes at villages in the state.
D.    This initiative administration will help people in solving their grievances instantly said by him.

 

4.   Next CM of Meghalaya Will Conrad Sangma.
A.    Governor Ganga Prasad and NPP chief Conrad K Sangma met and Conrad Sangma submitted the letter of support from other parties, in Meghalaya.
B.   On March 5, the swearing-in of Conard as the chief minister will take place.
C.    By March 10, the government formation process is expected to be completed in Tripura.

  

5.   First-ever Hindu woman Senator in Pakistan.

A.    To Pakistan’s senate Kirshna Kumari Kolhi has become the first-ever Hindu Dalit woman Senator.
B.    Aged 39, Kolhi, from Thar is a member of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led Pakistan People s Party (PPP).
C.    From Sindh, she was elected on a minority seat.
D.   Kohli is from remote village in Nagarparkar district of Thar in Sindh province.

 

6.   World Cup gold won by Shooter Rizvi.
A.    A new world record on his way to the gold medal created by Indian shooter Shahzar Rizvi.
B.    He won in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF World Cup.
C.    By the score of 242.3 points in the final, Rizvi registered a world record score.
D.   Christian Reitz of Germany, the Indian beat reigning Olympic champion had to settle for the silver.
E.    With 219, India’s Jitu Rai bagged the bronze.

 

7.   Prafulla Das literateur passes away.
A.    At the age of 91 literateur Prafulla Das passed away at his residence at Rajkanika in Kendrapara district.
B.    For his achievement in the literary field he received  the prestigious “Sarala Award”.
C.    In 2014, the biography of freedom fighter Malati Chaudhury, ‘Banhimana’ brought him the Sarala Award.

 

8.   Social media launch of “Namaste Shalom” attended by Dr Jitendra Singh.
A.   Dr Jitendra Singh launched the social media of “Namaste Shalom”, a magazine devoted to India-Israel relations.
B.    By former MP Shri Tarun Vijay, the magazine is edited.
C.   Mr. Daniel Carmon, Israeli Ambassador to India and other dignitaries were also present.

 

9.   World’s first digital legal tender is to launch by Marshall Island.
A.    To become first country in world to recognize cryptocurrency as its legal tender and adopt transparent crypto monetary system Marshall Islands in Pacific Ocean is set.
B.    With symbol SOV the parliament of island has passed law to create the digital currency called “Sovereign”.
C.    It is to raise some hard cash to pay bills and boost economy.

  

10.   Oscars 2018.

Annual Academy

A.     It was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California (US).
B.    The award presented in 24 categories by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), honouring best films of year 2017.
C.    The most number of awards totaling to four at the ceremony won by the Shape of Water.
D.    It was nominated into highest 13 categories.
E.     It was followed by Dunkirk, nominated for eight categories and Three, Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, nominated for seven categories.
