1.   Naipunya Ratham launched by Andhra Govt.
A.    NAIPUNYA RATHAM, a multi-utility vehicle which aims to bring technology to the remote corners launched by Andhra Pradesh Government.
B.    12 more Naipunya Rathams by May this year will be roll out by government announced by Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.
C.    It will will facilitate and look to improve digital literacy, digital skills and create an awareness on various government schemes.

 

2.   In Mumbai Navy warship INS Ganga decommissioned.

INS Ganga

A.    In Mumbai after over three decades of service INS Ganga, an indigenously built frigate of the Indian Navy, was decommissioned.
B.    The ship represented a big step forward in the nation’s warship building capability, commissioned on December 30, 1985.
C.    Several officers and men, many now retired, who had served on board the ship, attended the ceremony.

 

3.   As ‘Social Justice Day’ Ambedkar Jayanti to be celebrated.
A.    As ‘Social Justice Day’ the birth anniversary of India’s Dalit social reformer Dr BR Ambedkar will be celebrated.
B.    On 14 April 1891, born into a poor Dalit family, Ambedkar became independent India’s first law minister, the principal architect of the Constitution of India.
C.    In 1990 Ambedkar was awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously.

 

4.   In Himachal all India Police Science Congress kicks off.
A.    The Himachal Pradesh Police Department and The Bureau of Police Research and Development organised the two-day 46th All India Police Science Congress began in Himachal Pradesh.
B.    By using technology to prevent and detect crime Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to stay ahead of criminals it began with a clarion call to the police.

 

5.   With CSK Equitas Bank ties up.

A.    A new ‘Yellow Army Savings Account’ to increase its customer base through its association with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), a franchise of the Indian Premium League (IPL) launched by Equitas Small Finance Bank.
B.    An interest rate of six per cent per annum for balance below Rs.10 lakh and 6.5 per cent per annum for balance above Rs.10 lakh will be offered by the yellow army savings account.
C.    Rs.10,000 per account will be the average quarterly balance requirement.

 

6.   Fisdom team up for digital NPS, Lakshmi Vilas Bank.
A.    To enable investments in the National Pension Scheme (NPS) in a completely digital and paperless manner Bengaluru-based start-up Fisdom and Lakshmi Vilas Bank have entered into a partnership.
B.    NPS digitally through its mobile app with which any registered user can invest in the NPS will provided by Fisdom.
C.    The customers of LVB will be able to plan their investments under the pension scheme under the partnership.

 

7.   As Peru’s New President Martin Vizcarra Sworn in.

A.    As Peru’s first vice president and ambassador to Canada Martin Vizcarra served and has been sworn in as the country’s new president.
B.    Who was less than two years into a five-year termPedro Pablo Kuczynski, tendered his resignation.
C.    From Odebrecht, a Brazilian construction conglomerate, a former Wall Street banker, Kuczynski, is accused of having accepted illegal payments.

  

8.   India’s flagbearer in Gold Coast CWG to be Sindhu.
A.    For the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast next month Star shuttler P V Sindhu has been named the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent.
B.    On April 4 the opening ceremony will be held.
C.    Sindhu bagged a bronze in women’s singles in the last Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.

 

9.   Gold at Junior World Cup won by shooter Manu.
A.    Second World Cup gold medal inside a month, won by Teenager Manu Bhaker, winning the womens 10m Air Pistol title at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Cup.
B.    By winning the senior World Cup gold at the same 10m Air Pistol event in her senior team debut the girl from Jhajjar, Haryana, created waves across the shooting world just 20 days ago.
